Paige Faure, Cinderella
Day 264 - 7/23/14
I like and hate summer. Hate the heat, but love going to camp. I absolutely love the fact that I can come home, eat dinner, paint my nails, and the be able to photograph them outside in natural light. The pictures are so much better. Today, while I was out taking nail shots, I decided to have a little fun and play around with my camera a little. I took a bunch of shots of flowers, the street, houses, whatever I wanted, whatever struck me as inspiration. This shot of the bee on the flower is definitely one of my favorites, so I included it with my post. I even stuck a watermark on there…such talent! I’ve been in the mood for cooler tones lately, and I really love them with golds and coppers. This glitter topper added a little bit of edge to my pastel mani. I also learned that a really good way to apply glitter is with a makeup sponge. It absorbs the base and applies the glitter cleanly. No more waiting for hours for glitter to dry due to goopy and thick application. MORE GLITTER FOR ME!

I am thankful for nature, and summer camp!
My mentor had a baby today! I am so close with her, and so happy and excited. I had actually spoken to her at 10:15am and she was convinced that she was going to go at least another week. My phone then rang at 4:45, and it was her husband, saying she had given birth to a perfect beautiful baby girl about 20 minutes before. The conversation went something like this:
ME: Hi, this is Chana.
HIM: Congratulations! I’m calling to let you know that my wife just had a baby girl!
ME: She had a WHAT?
It’s crazy how your day can just change like that, how those things can happen so quickly. Welcome to the world little one. I can’t wait to meet her in August!
SHE FUCKING KNOWS
